Look Out
For The
SHERWOOD POINT LIGHTHOUSE
Established 1883,
this lighthouse
is located on
the bayside of
Sturgeon Bay
across from
George K. Pinney
County Park,
off of County M.
Sherwood Point is named as the
last manned lighthouse on the
Great Lakes. It is open to the public
during the Annual Lighthouse
Fes val, June 8-10, 2018. During the
rest of the year the historic building
provides a rest and recupera on area
for ac ve members of the
U.S. military on a rental basis.
NORTH PIERHEAD LIGHT
Established
1882, this
picturesque
lighthouse
marks the
entrance to
the Sturgeon
Bay ship
canal on
Lake Michigan. Although the
eye-catching lighthouse does not
permit tours, visitors are
strongly encouraged to walk to the
end of the pier for the closest view.
North Pierhead Light is located on
Canal Rd (County TT) on the ac ve
U.S. Coast Guard Sta on. Parking
is available outside of the
sta on grounds.
STURGEON BAY SHIP CANAL
LIGHTHOUSE
Established
1899 and
automated
in 1972,
Sturgeon
Bay Canal
Sta on Lighthouse is located on
the property of the U.S. Coast
Guard at 2501 Canal Rd. This sight
is only open to the public during
the 2018 Lighthouse Fes val June
8-10. Parking is available outside of
the sta on grounds. Public external
viewing is available year-round using
the designated walkway leading
past the lighthouse down the north
breakwater pier.
