On October 7, 2017 these high
school sweethearts, Justin and
Mariya, were married in a country
style wedding at the family farm in
Ellison Bay. The family love story of
Door County started when the
groom's grandparents bought
property in Door County on their
honeymoon in 1950. After that,
their children and grandchildren
have spent their summers growing
up in Door County. This soon
became the couple's favorite
"second home," and after
completing his training in the
Marine reserves and finishing
college, the happy couple decided
to tie the knot. There was no better
place than to continue the love
story in Door County! One of the
couple's favorite spots is this scenic
winding road leading to Northport,
so it seemed only fitting to take this
photo as a way to commemorate
and celebrate their special day.
While the misty, windy weather did
not fully cooperate, the day ended
with a beautiful double rainbow –
proving that even a cloudy day in
Door County is a beautiful day!
